CROSSWIND’S DOCTRINAL STATEMENT
We believe in the inerrant and infallible Word of God, the Bible. The Bible alone is the rule and authority in all matters of faith and life.
The God of the Bible is One God, eternal and self-existent in three unique and distinctive Persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are each True God of True God-co-equal, co-eternal, and co-essential. The Triune God created of the heavens and the earth in six, literal twenty-four hour days.
Christ Jesus, God the Son, was conceived supernaturally and miraculously in the womb of a virgin, was born, and lived a sinless human existence. Upon completion of His earthly mission, He was crucified, died, and was buried. He was raised bodily on the third day and has ascended into heaven according to the Scriptures. He now resides at the right hand of the Father making intercession for His people until He returns again. Jesus’ atoning death at Calvary is alone sufficient and efficient to justify men and bring them into a right relationship with God as they repent from their sins and trust totally in Him.
God the Holy Spirit fulfills His role as the Agent of regeneration and the Sanctifier of men; He lives in believers so as to move them to holiness.
The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ-as His Body of believers-is the instrument of God’s own choosing to advance the Gospel of Christ into all the world. It’s twelve-fold purpose is to: proclaim sound biblical doctrine, use properly the church ordinances, administer biblical church discipline, worship genuinely, pray, witness, fellowship effectively, exercise biblical church government, display spiritual power in ministry, promote and pursue personal holiness in the lives of its members, care for the poor and needy, and love Jesus Christ.
At the last day, God will raise men bodily from the dead to spend eternity either in heaven or in hell.
