Here Am I, Send Me

The proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is at the very heart of CrossWind Ministry. Therefore, the taking of that message into the local church is a vital part of what we do. Below is an annotated syllabus of available curricula that is suitable for all types of venues – preaching, teaching, seminars, small groups, adult or youth, et al. Too, we are not of necessity limited to this curriculum. We are, however, at the disposal of God’s people to come and share the teachings of the Bible. Please feel free (and without obligation) to contact us about any possibilities to meet with you and your congregation or group.

“They’s Like Us, Man; They Jus’ Need Jesus!”

This a four-part series (or a two- or one-part message) that presents a sound, biblical exposition of the basics of evangelism. Its emphasis is the Person and Work of Jesus Christ. The “Core” addresses the Source of evangelism for God’s people, the “Compass” talks about the scope of evangelism for the Church, the “Cost” brings to mind that evangelism is not without its share of suffering for the cause of Christ, and the “Culmination” reminds Christians that there is a most fitting result from their evangelistic efforts. The messages are doctrinal, exhortative, and evangelistic.

“Threes, Secrets, Twos, and Buying Farmland!”

It is a one- or two-part lesson that presents the background of the outlaw biker culture from its inception in post-World War II America to its current organization and activities. The session includes biblical expositions of Luke 14:23 and Matthew 9:10-13 which set forth the motivation for Christians to share the Gospel with all the disenfranchised of our culture. The presentation includes video, lecture, and discussion (with Q & A time) as well as a detailed handout is for all participants.

“Stories Along a Highway From Hell”

The title of AC/ DC’s hit album reminds us that Jesus’ message to lost men is one of utmost importance – yeah, there really is a hell.  And, He traveled that highway day-after-day seeking and saving those who were lost. These are God’s stories of those journeys -biblical expositions that use the story-telling style of the narratives in the Bible to share the Gospel message, teaching and reinforcing key biblical truths and providing new perspectives for personal applications. It is, also, a way to re-familarize God’s people with a Bible story usually well-known from their youngest days. Examples include God’s covenant with Abraham in Genesis 15, the woman who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears in Luke 7, the prodigal son in Luke 15, Nicodemus coming to Jesus in John 3, the woman at the well in John 4, Lazarus’ resurrection in John 11, and the Philippian jailer in Acts 16, among others.

“Squids, Wheelies, Stoppies, and Other Sick and Insane Things”

This part of the curricula contains a variety of theologically sound Bible studies on topics like “The Fall of Man ” (an eleven session exposition of Genesis 3 and the doctrine of the Fall), “The Root Sins” (a three or six session series),”The Beatitudes” (a ten session exposition of Matthew 5:1-12),”Be a Man” (a six session study from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 on what it means to be a man of God), “The Church” (an eleven session study on the doctrine of the Church), and “The Death of Death in the Death of Christ” (a twelve session study on the biblical doctrine of salvation). 2009 has seen “Origins” added (an eleven week study on the doctrine of biblical creation). These studies can be conducted as multi-day ormulti-week series. Or, if you’d like one of the CrossWind evangelists to come to your congregation or group to simply preach the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we’d be pleased to do so! Just get in touch with us via our “Contact” page, and we’ll get a date and time to join with you and your people.
